  • Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of May 31, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 1,703 (58 children out of this number, 11 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

    The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 1,147,581 people have been vaccinated.

    On May 30, 2021, 6,168 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 190 people got CoviShield vaccine, 5,836 – CoronaVac vaccine, 42 – Comirnaty vaccine, 100 – AstraZeneka, Janssen - 0.

    During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 810 persons, 64 patients died, 4,934 persons recovered. There have been conducted 16,224 testings (8,822 using the PCR method, 1,176 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 6,226).

    During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

    • 2,202,494 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
    • 2,041,082 people recovered;
    • 50,536 people died;
    • 10,180,777 testing have been conducted.
