Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of December 27, 2021, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 2,248 (137 children out of this number, 19 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 28,055,523 vaccines have been made.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 14,605,035 people have been vaccinated. On December 27, 2021, 46,024 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 10,357– CoronaVac vaccine, 26,910 – Comirnaty vaccine, 1,496 – AstraZeneka, 0 – Janssen, Moderna – 7,261.

Vaccination was carried out by 488 mobile immunization teams, 2,719 vaccination points and 448 vaccination centers. 

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 944 persons, 134 patients died, 4,789 persons recovered. There have been conducted 30,386 testings (12,853 using the PCR method, 1,836 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 15,697).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

• 3,649,236 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
• 3,437,528 people recovered;
• 95,105 people died;
• 16,691,695 testings have been conducted.

The number of people with coronavirus disease in regions:

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available.
