Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of November 17, 2021 in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 20,591 (1,478 children out of this number, 377 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 21,811,652 vaccines have been made.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 12,554,335 people have been vaccinated. On November 17, 2021, 297,832 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 124,061 – CoronaVac vaccine, 131,902 – Comirnaty vaccine, 30,137 – AstraZeneka, 0 – Janssen, Moderna – 11,732. 

Vaccination was carried out by 1,090 mobile immunization teams, 3,247 vaccination points and 459 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 3,907 persons, 752 patients died,
19,633 persons recovered. There have been conducted 114,199 testings (56,132 using the PCR method, 13,840 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 44,227).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 3,284,008 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 2,704,217 people recovered;
  • 79,506 people died;
  • 15,348,780 testings have been conducted.
