Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of September 16, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 6,624 (667 children out of this number, 105 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign11,229,655 vaccines have been made.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 6,169,886 people have been vaccinated. On September 16, 2021, 122,906 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 37,008 – CoronaVac vaccine, 64,511 – Comirnaty vaccine, 21,267 – AstraZeneka, 0 – Janssen, Moderna – 120

Vaccination was carried out by 833 mobile immunization teams, 2,884 vaccination points and 316 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 1,568 persons, 99 patients died, 1,914 persons recovered. There have been conducted 75,280 testings (35,171 using the PCR method, 8,230 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 31,879).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 2,338,164 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 2,228,543 people recovered;
  • 54,750 people died;
  • 12,412,498 testings have been conducted.
