Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of January 11, 2022, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 7,117 (409 children out of this number, 160 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 29,023,090 vaccines have been made.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 14,875,716 people have been vaccinated. On January 11, 2022, 106,362 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 22,218 – CoronaVac vaccine, 75,770 – Comirnaty vaccine, 2,872 – AstraZeneka, 0 – Janssen, Moderna – 5,502.

Vaccination was carried out by 890 mobile immunization teams, 3,258 vaccination points and 441 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 1,898 persons, 193 patients died, 8,077 persons recovered. There have been conducted 79,278 testings (38,851 using the PCR method, 6,336 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 34,091).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

• 3,716,988 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;

• 3,530,624 people recovered;

• 97,737 people died;

• 17,034,809 testings have been conducted.

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available.
