    Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, posted 12 January 2022 10:15

    In 2022, communities will receive about UAH 132 billion to be directed to develop social, communal and road infrastructure. Meanwhile, the State Regional Development Fund will amount to more than UAH 5 billion. These funds are provided under the Law of Ukraine "On the State Budget for 2022", said the Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Chernyshov.

    "In 2022, almost UAH 132 billion will be allotted on infrastructure development and regional projects in communities. This year, the state has provided communities with sufficient resources for more efficient local economic development. Almost UAH 9 billion - for the implementation of infrastructure projects and the development of socio-cultural facilities. More than UAH 24 billion has been allocated for the construction and repair of local roads, streets and communal roads. Therefore, this is a substantive call to local governments to develop bold and innovative projects that will help increase the local budget, create new jobs and unlock economic potential," said Oleksii Chernyshov.

    It should be noted that according to the approved State Budget 2022, state financial support will be distributed as follows:

    • Regional development - UAH 27.5 billion;

    • Rural development - UAH 7.1 billion (including UAH 4.4 billion to support agricultural producers);

    • Development in the field of healthcare - UAH 5.4 billion;

    • Development in the field of education - UAH 6.8 billion;

    • Development of road infrastructure - UAH 66.8 billion (including public roads of local importance, as well as streets and communal roads - UAH 24.6 billion);

    • Development of transport infrastructure - UAH 2.5 billion;

    • Infrastructure development (social security, housing construction) - UAH 9.6 billion;

    • Development in the field of culture - UAH 1.9 billion;

    • Development of sports infrastructure - UAH 0.9 billion;

    • Other areas of territorial development (including CASPs) - UAH 3.3 billion.

    As was reported, earlier the Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Chernyshov in the column for the Livyy Bereh (Left Bank – ed.) online edition noted that in 2021 the reform of urban planning had turned the corner. The State Architectural and Construction Inspectorate (SACI) was liquidated. At the same time, the process of building a network of industrial parks in the country was intensified, and long-standing issues in the field of housing and communal services began to be resolved, in particular, the restructuring of debts by district heating providers and wastewater disposal organizations to NJSC Naftogaz.
