Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of August 11, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 1,247 (77 children out of this number, 41 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection).

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 7,008,448 vaccines have been made.

On August 11, 2021, 162,049 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 39,492 - CoronaVac vaccine, 57,071 – Comirnaty vaccine, 8,943 – AstraZeneka, Janssen – 2,000, Moderna – 54,543.

Vaccination was carried out by 974 mobile immunization teams, 2,812 vaccination points and 327 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 588 persons, 24 patients died, 1,039 persons recovered. There have been conducted 48,051 testings (22,049 using the PCR method, 8,735 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 17,267).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 2,262,601 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 2,194,791 people recovered;
  • 53,173 people died;
  • 11,604,861 testings have been conducted.
