Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of November 09, 2021 in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 23,283 (1,539 children out of this number, 529 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 19,852,176 vaccines have been made.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 11,697,386 people have been vaccinated. On November 09, 2021, 267,401 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 117,036 – CoronaVac vaccine, 126,137 – Comirnaty vaccine, 24,228 – AstraZeneka, 0 – Janssen, Moderna – 0.

Vaccination was carried out by 1,105 mobile immunization teams, 3,202 vaccination points and 423 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 5,696 persons, 816 patients died, 16,277 persons recovered. There have been conducted 146,589 testings (69,627 using the PCR method, 19,681 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 57,281).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 3,130,772 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 2,553,842 people recovered;
  • 74,206 people died;
  • 14,999,766 testings have been conducted.
