Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of September 6, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 2,197 (197 children out of this number, 37 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign9,923,423 vaccines have been made.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 5,618,798 people have been vaccinated. On September 6, 2021, 133,922 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 31,119 – CoronaVac vaccine, 44,174 – Comirnaty vaccine, 5,805 – AstraZeneka, 0 – Janssen, Moderna – 52,824.

Vaccination was carried out by 882 mobile immunization teams, 2,827 vaccination points and 338 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 485 persons, 53 patients died, 1,429 persons recovered. There have been conducted 48,399 testings (22,596 using the PCR method, 7,811 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 17,992).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 2,300,504 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 2,214,606 people recovered;
  • 54,054 people died;
  • 12,131,185 testings have been conducted.
