With the participation of the Minister of Energy German Galushchenko, a regular meeting of the working group on supporting the process of integration of the unified energy system of Ukraine (UES) with the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity of the member states of the European Union (ENTSO-E) was held.
The participants discussed the dynamics of the synchronization process, the state of implementation of the developed solutions and the key issues that need to be resolved to complete the integration of the Ukrainian and European power systems.
In particular, NPC Ukrenergo presented the preliminary results of the research conducted by the Consortium of Transmission System Operators ENTSO-E on the static and dynamic stability of the UES of Ukraine and the possibility of its integration with the energy system of continental Europe. Preliminary results suggest that the Ukrainian energy system will be ready for an isolated regime in 2022. The final results of the report are expected to be presented in October 2021.
First Deputy Minister of Energy Yurii Vlasenko commissioned NPC Ukrenergo to accelerate the elaboration of the Program for conducting system tests in the UES of Ukraine for the isolated regime.
A complete list of power plant generating equipment that will or may be involved in the operation of the power system in isolated mode should also be prepared.
"Such a document is necessary so that all participants in the process understand their role during the process and can prepare in advance as well as ensure the successful completion of relevant tasks," stressed Yurii Vlasenko.
