Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of December 5, 2021 in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 4,478 (429 children out of this number, 52 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 13,753,066 people have been vaccinated. On December 5, 2021, 70,797 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 23,884 – CoronaVac vaccine, 34,558 – Comirnaty vaccine, 0 – AstraZeneka, 0 – Janssen, Moderna – 12,355.

Vaccination was carried out by 472 mobile immunization teams, 2,926 vaccination points and 473 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 1,660 persons, 239 patients died, 9,082 persons recovered. There have been conducted 29,702 testings (13,419 using the PCR method, 2,227 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 14,056).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 3,501,955 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 3,059,741 people recovered;
  • 88,519 people died;
  • 16,089,778 testings have been conducted.
