Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of September 5, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 733 (62 children out of this number, 8 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 9,789,501 vaccines have been made.

The number of vaccinated persons from COVID-19 from the beginning of the campaign makes up 5,581,418. On September 5, 2021, 41,787 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 8,087 - CoronaVac vaccine, 14,285 – Comirnaty vaccine, 1,507 – AstraZeneka, Janssen – 1,000, Moderna – 16,908.

Vaccination was carried out by 328 mobile immunization teams, 973 vaccination points and 347 vaccination centers.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 635 persons, 18 patients died, 457 persons recovered. There have been conducted 23,015 testings (11,283 using the PCR method, 1,879 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 –9,853).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 2,298,307 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 2,213,177 people recovered;
  • 54,001 people died;
  • 12,108,589 testings have been conducted.
