  • Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of 9:00 a.m. on June 3, in Ukraine there have been confirmed 24,823 COVID-19 cases, 735 patients died, 10,440 people recovered. During the 24 hours, 483 new cases have been confirmed.

    A total of 381,552 samples in Ukraine were tested using PCR method and 21,931 samples using ELISA method.

    In total 1,791 cases among children and 4,785 cases among healthcare workers were recorded. 17,227 patients, out of this number 1,496 children and 3,883 medical workers have been undergoing outpatient treatment. A total of 7,596 people were hospitalized, including 295 children and 902 healthcare workers. There are 292 people, including 1 child and 26 healthcare workers, having severe symptoms and undergoing treatment with the use of artificial lung ventilation machines.

    As of June 3, coronavirus disease was registered:

    Vinnytsia region – 1,050 cases (657 recovered);

    Volyn region - 942 cases (264 recovered);

    Dnipropetrovsk region - 950 cases (267 recovered);

    Donetsk region - 166 cases (97 recovered);

    Zhytomyr region - 780 cases (472 recovered);

    Zakarpattia region – 1,236 cases (434 recovered);

    Zaporizhia region – 463 cases (258 recovered);

    Ivano-Frankivsk region – 1,465 cases (862 recovered);

    Kirovohrad region - 523 cases (403 recovered);

    Kyiv – 3,133 cases (756 recovered);

    Kyiv region – 1,652 cases (418 recovered);

    Lviv region – 1,830 cases (457 recovered);

    Luhansk region - 49 cases (40 recovered);

    Mykolaiv region - 295 cases (182 recovered);

    Odesa region - 913 cases (231 recovered);

    Poltava region - 272 cases (253 recovered);

    Rivne region – 1,873 cases (993 recovered);

    Sumy region - 174 cases (147 recovered);

    Ternopil region – 1,200 cases (948 recovered);

    Kharkiv region – 1,131 cases (467 recovered);

    Kherson region – 179 cases (161 recovered);

    Khmelnytsky region - 469 cases (259 recovered);

    Chernivtsi region – 3,442 cases (1,017 recovered);

    Cherkasy region - 416 cases (320 recovered);

    Chernihiv region - 203 cases (63 recovered).

    Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.

    The Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine urges when having the first symptoms of respiratory illnesses to call a family doctor. Stay home! Self-isolation is the most efficient way to protect yourself from infection.
