  • Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the data presented by the  Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of on June 24, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 39,014 COVID-19 cases, 17,409 people recovered, 1,051 patients died. During the 24 hours, 940 new cases have been confirmed.

    A total of 594,002 samples in Ukraine were tested using PCR method and  154,092 samples using ELISA method.

    In total 2,872 cases among children and 6,243 cases among healthcare workers were recorded.  10, 604 people were hospitalized. There are 367 people undergoing treatment with the use of artificial lung ventilation machines. 28,410 patients have been undergoing outpatient treatment.3,786 healthcare workers have recovered.

    COVID-19 cases were registered:

    Vinnytsia region – 1,723 cases (1,057 recovered);

    Volyn region – 1,955 cases (605 recovered);

    Dnipropetrovsk region – 1,060 cases (582 recovered);

    Donetsk region – 376 (145 recovered);

    Zhytomyr region – 1,304 cases (681 recovered);

    Zakarpattia region – 2,369 cases (864 recovered);

    Zaporizhia region – 559 cases (397 recovered);

    Ivano-Frankivsk region – 2,124 cases (1,083 recovered);

    Kirovohrad region – 634 cases (523 recovered);

    Kyiv – 4,528 cases (1.440 recovered);

    Kyiv region – 2,332 cases (1,147 recovered);

    Lviv region – 4,423 cases (700 recovered);

    Luhansk region – 75 cases (54 recovered);

    Mykolaiv region - 368 cases (271 recovered);

    Odesa region – 1,370 cases (569 recovered);

    Poltava region – 300 cases (263 recovered);

    Rivne region – 3,164  cases (1,582 recovered);

    Sumy region – 272 cases (186 recovered);

    Ternopil region – 1,768 cases (1,094 recovered);

    Kharkiv region – 1,891 cases (932 recovered);

    Kherson region – 188 cases (175 recovered);

    Khmelnytsky region - 627 cases (503 recovered);

    Chernivtsi region – 4,478 cases (1,175 recovered);

    Cherkasy region – 614 cases (426 recovered);

    Chernihiv region - 494 cases (145 recovered);

    Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available.

    The Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine urges when having the first symptoms of respiratory illnesses to call a family doctor. Stay home! Self-isolation is the most efficient way to protect yourself from infection.
