Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal is on a working trip to Ivano-Frankivsk region.
The Head of Government will coordinate the work of the authorities and check what measures are being taken to remedy the consequences of rough weather in the western regions of Ukraine.
"Terrible floods in Prykarpattia, Bukovyna and Zakarpattia. I am flying to Ivano-Frankivsk region to coordinate on the ground the activities of the authorities in overcoming the consequences of the bad weather," Denys Shmyhal underlined.
It should be recalled that PM gave instructions to Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine Roman Abramovsky, Head of the State Emergency Service Mykola Chechiotkin, heads of regional state administrations and other officials as part of the preparation for the meeting to prepare proposals concerning urgent measures to overcome the effects of bad weather in western regions of the country.
According to the data provided by the SES, heavy rains have worsened the floodwater situation in Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi and Lviv regions.
