
Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection
According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of August 6, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 76,808 COVID-19 cases, 42,524 people recovered, 1,819 patients died. During the 24 hours, 1,318 new cases have been confirmed.
A total of 1 116 641 samples in Ukraine were tested using PCR method. During the 24 hours, 997 people have recovered.
As of August 6, coronavirus disease was registered:
- Vinnytsia region – 2, 898 cases;
- Volyn region – 4,108 cases;
- Dnipropetrovsk region – 1,492 cases;
- Donetsk region - 941 cases;
- Zhytomyr region – 2,036 cases;
- Zakarpattia region – 5,539 cases;
- Zaporizhia region – 890 cases;
- Ivano-Frankivsk region – 5,295 cases;
- Kirovohrad region - 713 cases;
- Kyiv – 8,992 cases;
- Kyiv region – 3,980 cases;
- Lviv region – 10,420 cases;
- Luhansk region - 135 cases;
- Mykolaiv region - 666 cases;
- Odesa region – 3,748 cases;
- Poltava region - 477 cases;
- Rivne region – 6,538 cases;
- Sumy region – 594;
- Ternopil region – 3,177;
- Kharkiv region – 4,381;
- Kherson region – 242;
- Khmelnytsky region – 1,257;
- Chernivtsi region – 6,383;
- Cherkasy region – 969;
- Chernihiv region – 937.
Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
