Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of February 05, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 4,923 (230 children out of this number, 222 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 150,191.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 1885 persons, 158 patients died, 8185 persons recovered. There have been conducted 43137 testing (25667 using the PCR method and 17470 using the ELISA method).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 1237169 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 1063591 people recovered;
  • 23387 people died;
  • 6350442 testing have been conducted.

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.

The Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine urges when having the first symptoms of respiratory illnesses to call a family doctor. Stay home! Self-isolation is the most efficient way to protect yourself from infection.
