Аccording to the data of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of August 28, 2,438 new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed.

In total, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 114,497 COVID-19 cases, 55,083 people recovered, 2,451 patients died.  A total of 1,494, 243 samples in Ukraine were tested using PCR method. During the 24 hours, 866 people have recovered.

As of August 28, coronavirus disease was registered:

Vinnytsia region – 3,800 cases;

Volyn region – 5,320 cases;

Dnipropetrovsk region – 2,162 cases;

Donetsk region – 1,318 cases;

Zhytomyr region – 3,063 cases;

Zakarpattia region – 7,302cases;

Zaporizhia region – 1,487 cases;

Ivano-Frankivsk region – 8,661 cases;

Kirovohrad region - 790 cases;

Kyiv – 12, 719 cases;

Kyiv region – 5,397 cases;

Lviv region – 13,978 cases;

Luhansk region – 274 cases;

Mykolaiv region – 1,077 cases;

Odesa region – 6,751 cases;

Poltava region – 705 cases;

Rivne region – 8,921 cases;

Sumy region – 1,361 cases;

Ternopil region – 5,478 cases;

Kharkiv region – 8,444 cases;

Kherson region – 374 cases;

Khmelnytsky region – 2,194 cases;

Chernivtsi region – 9,855 cases;

Cherkasy region – 1,390 cases;

Chernihiv region – 1,676 cases.

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
