August 28, Minister of Finance of Ukraine Serhii Marchenko and Minister of Finance of Poland Tadeusz Kościński signed a Joint Declaration on bilateral cooperation in the field of tax information exchange, in particular in the field of VAT administration and cross-border economic cooperation.

"We stand ready to share experience in the field of taxation to achieve common goals in the fight against tax fraud and prevent attempts to avoid taxation," Serhii Marchenko underscored during a meeting.

The implementation of this agreement will allow to step up efforts aimed to strengthen administrative cooperation between countries, including the exchange of tax information, knowledge and new technologies, joint activities at the border as a crucial tool for effective combating VAT fraud. Such cooperation will significantly increase the security of Polish and Ukrainian citizens and entrepreneurs, as well as will ensure a steady increase in budget revenues.
