Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of November 16, in Ukraine, there have been officially confirmed 11,968 (516 children out of this number, 565 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 1,610 persons, 159 patients died, 6,786 persons recovered. There have been conducted 67,127 testing (37,770 using the PCR method and 29,357 using the ELISA method).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

557,657 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;

250,983 people recovered;

9,856 people died;

3,979,421 testing have been conducted.

The largest number of confirmed cases in the last 24 hours was registered in Kyiv city (1143 cases), Dnipropetrovsk region (808), Odesa region (761), Cherkasy region (755), Zaporizhia region (734).

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
