Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of April 14, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 14,553 (612 children out of this number, 426 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 406, 495.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 403,553 people have been vaccinated. On April 13, 2021, 15,152 people were vaccinated against COVID-19.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 5,063 persons, 467 patients died, 12,384 persons recovered. There have been conducted 134,342 testings (54,353 using the PCR method, 22,539 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 57,450).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

• 1,887,338 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;

• 1,442,618 people recovered;
• 38,225 people died;
• 8,770,753 testing have been conducted.

The number of people with coronavirus disease in regions:

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.

The Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine urges when having the first symptoms of respiratory illnesses to call a family doctor. Stay home! Self-isolation is the most efficient way to protect yourself from infection.
