  • Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of May 13, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 6,813 (289 children out of this number, 160 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 271,910.

    Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 901,107 people have been vaccinated. On May 12, 2021, 20,386 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 695 people got CoviShield vaccine, 2,611 – CoronaVac vaccine, 2,412 – Comirnaty vaccine, 14,668 - AstraZeneka.

    During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 2,569 persons, 346 patients died, 19,507 persons recovered. There have been conducted 89,490 testing (35,366 using the PCR method, 15,261 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 38,863).

    During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

    • 2,135,886 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
    • 1,816,643 people recovered;
    • 47,333 people died;
    • 9,756,402 testings have been conducted.
