Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of February 01, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 2,030 (146 children out of this number, 86 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 174,802.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 1103 persons, 61 patients died, 5131 persons recovered. There have been conducted 12825 testing (9873 using the PCR method and 2952 using the ELISA method).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 1221485 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 1023915 people recovered;
  • 22768 people died;
  • 6257875 testing have been conducted.

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.

The Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine urges when having the first symptoms of respiratory illnesses to call a family doctor. Stay home! Self-isolation is the most efficient way to protect yourself from infection.
