  • Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of July 29, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 67,597 COVID-19 cases, 37,394 people recovered, 1,650 patients died. During the 24 hours, 1,022 new cases have been confirmed.

    A total of 998,299 samples in Ukraine were tested using PCR method. During the 24 hours, 650 people have recovered.

    As of July 29, coronavirus disease was registered:

    • Vinnytsia region – 2, 660 cases;
    • Volyn region – 3,694 cases;
    • Dnipropetrovsk region – 1,364 cases;
    • Donetsk region - 861 cases;
    • Zhytomyr region – 1,764 cases;
    • Zakarpattia region – 5,008 cases;
    • Zaporizhia region – 767 cases;
    • Ivano-Frankivsk region – 4,342 cases;
    • Kirovohrad region - 697 cases;
    • Kyiv – 7,932 cases;
    • Kyiv region – 3,629 cases;
    • Lviv region – 9,248 cases;
    • Luhansk region - 122 cases;
    • Mykolaiv region - 563 cases;
    • Odesa region – 3,104 cases;
    • Poltava region - 414 cases;
    • Rivne region – 5,837 cases;
    • Sumy region – 467;
    • Ternopil region – 2,852;
    • Kharkiv region – 3,556;
    • Kherson region – 224;
    • Khmelnytsky region – 1,086;
    • Chernivtsi region – 5,751;
    • Cherkasy region – 910;
    • Chernihiv region –745.

    Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
