  • Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of July 28, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 66,575 COVID-19 cases, 36,744 people recovered, 1,629 patients died. During the 24 hours, 919 new cases have been confirmed.

    A total of 983,360 samples in Ukraine were tested using PCR method.

    As of July 28, coronavirus disease was registered:

    • Vinnytsia region – 2, 627 cases;
    • Volyn region – 3,648 cases;
    • Dnipropetrovsk region – 1,334 cases;
    • Donetsk region - 852 cases;
    • Zhytomyr region – 1,744 cases;
    • Zakarpattia region – 4,940 cases;
    • Zaporizhia region – 753 cases;
    • Ivano-Frankivsk region – 4,224 cases;
    • Kirovohrad region - 697 cases;
    • Kyiv – 7,800 cases;
    • Kyiv region – 3,590 cases;
    • Lviv region – 9,099 cases;
    • Luhansk region - 121 cases;
    • Mykolaiv region - 562 cases;
    • Odesa region – 3,031 cases;
    • Poltava region - 401 cases;
    • Rivne region – 5,784 cases;
    • Sumy region – 454;
    • Ternopil region – 2,822;
    • Kharkiv region – 3,478;
    • Kherson region – 221;
    • Khmelnytsky region – 1,069;
    • Chernivtsi region – 5,692;
    • Cherkasy region – 906;
    • Chernihiv region – 726.

    Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
