Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of November 24, in Ukraine, there have been officially confirmed 16,218 (666 children out of this number, 655 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 355,260.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 2,069 persons, 192 patients died, 8,843 persons recovered. There have been conducted 72,789 testing (46,005 using the PCR method and 26,784 using the ELISA method).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 693,407 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 326,238 people recovered;
  • 11,909 people died;
  • 4,419,791 testing have been conducted.

The largest number of confirmed cases in the last 24 hours was registered in Dnipropetrovsk region (1,773 cases), Kyiv city (1,520), Zaporizhia region (1,003), Kyiv region (994) and Odesa region (966).

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
