  • Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of July 21, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 60,166 COVID-19 cases, 32,199 people recovered, 1,518 patients died. During the 24 hours, 673 new cases have been confirmed.

    A total of 894,393 samples in Ukraine were tested using PCR method.

    As of July 21, coronavirus disease was registered:

    • Vinnytsia region – 2,330 cases;
    • Volyn region – 3,318 cases;
    • Dnipropetrovsk region – 1,224 cases;
    • Donetsk region - 797 cases;
    • Zhytomyr region – 1,609 cases;
    • Zakarpattia region – 4,518 cases;
    • Zaporizhia region – 682 cases;
    • Ivano-Frankivsk region – 3,611 cases;
    • Kirovohrad region - 686 cases;
    • Kyiv – 7,034 cases;
    • Kyiv region – 3,332 cases;
    • Lviv region – 8,229 cases;
    • Luhansk region - 110 cases;
    • Mykolaiv region - 524 cases;
    • Odesa region – 2,638 cases;
    • Poltava region - 356 cases;
    • Rivne region – 5,183 cases;
    • Sumy region – 371;
    • Ternopil region – 2,466;
    • Kharkiv region – 3,082;
    • Kherson region – 216;
    • Khmelnytsky region – 991;
    • Chernivtsi region – 5,363;
    • Cherkasy region – 847;
    • Chernihiv region – 649.

    Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
