In April 2019, more than 18 million prescriptions were issued under the Government's Affordable Medicines program, and 8,000 new patients receive e-prescriptions week-on-week. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health continues to improve the system and add new drugs to it.

The Minister of Health of Ukraine Maxym Stepanov stated at a daily briefing on July 21.

"Since April 2019, the number of prescriptions that has been issued is about 18 million. Every week it includes 8,000 new patients. At that, I believe that there are great opportunities to expand this system. In particular, we are already moving along this way in terms of adding new medicines to the list," Maxym Stepanov stressed.

Moreover, according to the Minister, work is underway to improve the technical aspect of e-recipes service operation.
