Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of November 18, in Ukraine, there have been officially confirmed 12,496 (535 children out of this number, 529 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 1,668 persons, 256 patients died, 8,096 persons recovered. There have been conducted 73,064 testing (42,379 using the PCR method and 30,685 using the ELISA method).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

570,153 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;

259,079 people recovered;

10,112 people died;

4,022,283 testing have been conducted.

The largest number of confirmed cases in the last 24 hours was registered in Kyiv city (1213 cases), Dnipropetrovsk region (1023), Cherkasy region (800), Kyiv region (774), Zaporizhia region (708).

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
