  • Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of November 16, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 9,832 (354 children out of this number, 360 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

    During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 1,100 persons, 94 patients died, 2,753 persons recovered. There have been conducted 33,486 testing (28,685 using the PCR method and 4,801 using the ELISA method).

    During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

    545,689 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;

    244,197 people recovered;

    9,697 people died;

    3,941,651 testing have been conducted.

    The largest number of confirmed cases in the last 24 hours was registered in Kyiv city (879 cases), Dnipropetrovsk region (847), Zaporizhia region (807), Kyiv region (648 cases) Odesa region (633).

The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
