According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of October 16, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 287,231 COVID-19 cases, 121,919 people recovered, 5,408 patients died. During the 24 hours, 5,992 new cases have been officially confirmed.

A total of 2,729,496 samples in Ukraine were tested using PCR method. During the 24 hours, 2,269 patients have recovered.

As of October 16, coronavirus disease was registered:

• Dnipropetrovsk region – 10 257 cases;

• Zhytomyr region – 9 286 cases;

• Ivano-Frankivsk region – 16 163 cases;
• Kirovohrad region – 1 468 cases;
• Kyiv – 29 412 cases;
• Kyiv region – 12 207 cases;
• Lviv region – 24 171 cases;
• Luhansk region – 2 229 cases;
• Mykolaiv region – 5 336 cases;
• Odesa region – 18 013 cases;
• Poltava region – 5 469 cases;
• Rivne region – 15 398 cases;
• Sumy region – 8 252;
• Ternopil region – 16 916;
• Kharkiv region – 27 457;
• Kherson region – 2 264;
• Khmelnytsky region – 10 098;
• Chernivtsi region – 17 203;
• Cherkasy region – 6 387;

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
