Ministry of Social Policy organizes all-Ukrainian training on implementation of measures to prevent and counteract domestic violence

In order to organize training for coordinators, authorized persons of regional, district state administrations, executive committees of city councils and consolidated territorial communities, as well as for elected heads, village, settlement heads, who are personally responsible for ensuring timely and effective measures in the field of prevention and counteraction to domestic and gender-based violence on the territory of the respective administrative-territorial unit and specialists of general and specialized support services for victims, the Ministry of Social Policy organized thematic online training.

The 24-hour online course "Integrated Approach to Solving the Problem of Violence against Women and Girls in Ukraine" on basic issues of preventing and combating domestic violence was developed in cooperation with the UNFPA Office in Ukraine.

The online course includes a training module on general issues of combating and preventing domestic violence, as well as modules on the activities of specialized support services for victims.

The online course is available at https://learn-gbv.mocotms.com and is aimed at a wide range of professionals who are developing a system to prevent and combat domestic violence at the regional and local levels.

As of October 15, 2020, 1,140 people were registered as participants in online training, of which 414 specialists completed the training process and received certificates.
