  • Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of August 11, in Ukraine, there have been officially confirmed 83,115 COVID-19 cases, 44, 934 people recovered, 1,951 patients died. During the 24 hours, 1,158 new cases have been confirmed.

    A total of 1 195 561 samples in Ukraine were tested using PCR method. During the 24 hours, 575 people have recovered.

    As of August 11, coronavirus disease was registered:

    • Vinnytsia region – 3, 002 cases;
    • Volyn region – 4,375 cases;
    • Dnipropetrovsk region – 1,571 cases;
    • Donetsk region - 982 cases;
    • Zhytomyr region – 2,178 cases;
    • Zakarpattia region – 5,875 cases;
    • Zaporizhia region –959 cases;
    • Ivano-Frankivsk region – 5,911 cases;
    • Kirovohrad region - 725 cases;
    • Kyiv – 9,687 cases;
    • Kyiv region – 4,239 cases;
    • Lviv region – 11,142 cases;
    • Luhansk region - 157 cases;
    • Mykolaiv region - 729 cases;
    • Odesa region – 4,364 cases;
    • Poltava region - 503 cases;
    • Rivne region – 7,018 cases;
    • Sumy region – 702;
    • Ternopil region – 3,375;
    • Kharkiv region – 5,030;
    • Kherson region – 271;
    • Khmelnytsky region – 1,376;
    • Chernivtsi region – 6,867;
    • Cherkasy region – 1,039;
    • Chernihiv region – 1,038.

    Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
