
Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection
According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of March 3, in Ukraine, there have been officially confirmed 7,235 (429 children out of this number, 319 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 156, 272.
Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 6,888 people have been vaccinated, of whom 6,888 have received 1 dose, and 0 have completed vaccination (received 2 doses).
On March 2, 2021, 1983 people were vaccinated against COVID-19, of which 1 person was vaccinated with 1 dose, vaccination was completed (2 doses) - 0 people.
During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 3486 persons, 185 patients died, 5118 persons recovered. There have been conducted 85043 testings (34945 using the PCR method, 17688 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 32410).
During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:
- 1364705 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
- 1182036 people recovered;
- 26397 people died;
- 6983925 testing have been conducted.

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.
