Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of February 03, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 3,285 (156 children out of this number, 186 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 158,602.

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 2159 persons, 165 patients died, 10101 persons recovered. There have been conducted 43643 testing (25235 using the PCR method and 18408 using the ELISA method).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 1227164 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 1045473 people recovered;
  • 23089 people died;
  • 6299699 testing have been conducted.

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available. The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories.

The Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine urges when having the first symptoms of respiratory illnesses to call a family doctor. Stay home! Self-isolation is the most efficient way to protect yourself from infection.
