  • Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of October 7, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 16,362 (1,553 children out of this number, 431 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

    The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 13,430,055 vaccines have been made.

    The number of vaccinated persons from COVID-19 from the beginning of the campaign makes up 7,421,452. On October 7, 2021, 127,685 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 37,540 - CoronaVac vaccine, 70,335 – Comirnaty vaccine, 19,810 – AstraZeneka, Janssen – 0, Moderna – 0.

    Vaccination was carried out by 936 mobile immunization teams, 3,050 vaccination points and 355 vaccination centers.

    During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 3,526 persons, 241 patients died, 4,720 persons recovered. There have been conducted 106,869 testings (53,211 using the PCR method, 10,100 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 43,558).

    During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

    • 2,514,005 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
    • 2,282,482 people recovered;
    • 58,081 people died;
    • 13,164,600 testings have been conducted.
