
Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection
According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of May 25, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 2,608 (129 children out of this number, 76 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection. The number of active cases makes up 205, 305.
The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 981,972 people have been vaccinated.
On May 24, 2021, 14,056 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 610 people got CoviShield vaccine, 6,996 – CoronaVac vaccine, 3,138 – Comirnaty vaccine, 3,312 – AstraZeneka, Janssen - 0.
During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 854 persons, 249 patients died, 17,504 persons recovered. There have been conducted 52,279 testings (23,440 using the PCR method, 12,650 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 16,189).
During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:
- 2,186,463 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
- 1,975,064 people recovered;
- 49,685 people died;
- 10,045,897 testing have been conducted.
