Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of December 30, 2021 in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 7,029 (404 children out of this number, 185 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 28,405,399 vaccines have been made.

Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 14,698,234 people have been vaccinated. On December 30, 2021, 101,705 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 22,163 – CoronaVac vaccine, 60,646 – Comirnaty vaccine, 3,234 – AstraZeneka, 0 – Janssen, Moderna – 15,662.

Vaccination was carried out by 851 mobile immunization teams, 3,346 vaccination points and 453 vaccination centers. 

During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 1,578 persons, 209 patients died, 8,609 persons recovered. There have been conducted 71,748 testings (29,446 using the PCR method, 4,748 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 37,554).

During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

  • 3,667,649 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
  • 3,468,858 people recovered;
  • 95,899 people died;
  • 16,786,785 testings have been conducted.
