Ukraine is now implementing complex reforms regarding which previously there was observed the lack of a political will. This was emphasized by Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Olha Stefanishyna during a video conference "EU-Ukraine Summit: The Way Forward".
"Looking at the work we have done, as well as the legislation we have already enacted, we will see that Ukraine is moving at a good pace in the reforms process. At that, we have approached a stage with a more complex agenda and today we are doing what has never been done before in Ukraine. This includes land reform, banking reform, unbundling of the Naftogaz and Ukrenerho. These are the reforms that required a really strong political will," said Olha Stefanishyna.
She stressed that such reforms are fully in line with Ukraine's chosen course of EU integration. At the same time, the lack of communication sometimes becomes a reason for information attacks by certain political forces.
"Today, support for Ukraine's integration into the EU and NATO is the highest since 2014. At the same time, we need a new great goal in our relations, which can be proposed by the European Union and NATO. If we talk about the NATO Membership Action Plan, it would give a powerful impetus to rapid transformations in the defense sector. The same would work for the course of rapprochement with the European Union," said the Deputy Prime Minister.
