Olha Stefanyshyna: Signing of the Common Aviation Area Agreement should take place as soon as possible
The signing of the Common Aviation Area Agreement should take place as soon as possible. This issue was discussed during a telephone conversation between Deputy Prime Minister Olha Stefanyshyna, Minister of Infrastructure Vladislav Kryklii and European Commissioner for Transport Adina Vălean.
"The Agreement will promote the development of the Ukrainian aviation industry, increase the number of flights and passenger traffic," said Olha Stefanyshyna.
During the conversation, the Deputy Prime Minister also stressed the importance of including Ukraine’s inland waterways in the regional map of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T), in particular the Ukrainian part of the Danube River.
"Intensifying Ukraine's participation in the implementation of the EU Danube Strategy is one of my priorities. It concerns strengthening our practical cooperation and communication with EU member states," she said.
Given the growing dynamics of Ukraine's trade with the EU, the participants noted the relevance of establishing a structured dialogue on logistics. They also discussed EU assistance for the implementation of infrastructure projects.
