Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories awarded the Order of Princess Olha of III degree to Deputy Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland Malgorzata Gosiejewska. Malgorzata Gosiejewska was awarded the high state award for her significant personal contribution to strengthening the international authority of Ukraine, development of interstate cooperation and fruitful public activity by the Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 341/2020. "It is a great honour for me to present this award to Deputy Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland. Special thanks to Ms. Gosiejewska for her contribution to the process of settlement of the Russian-Ukrainian armed conflict and restoration of the territorial integrity of Ukraine," emphasized Oleksii Reznikov.
Oleksii Reznikov also presented to Deputy Marshal a book by Stanislav Asieiev "The Bright Path. History of One Concentration Camp" - memories of the experience in the torture chamber "Izolyatsia", operating in the territory of Ukraine occupied by the Russian Federation.
Since February 2, 2021, Oleksii Reznikov has been on a working visit to the Republic of Poland.
Today he had a number of important and productive meetings. Particularly, the Head of the National Security Bureau of the Republic of Poland Pawel Soloch and the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister for Reintegration of the Temporary Occupied Territories discussed a wide range of issues concerning the context of Russian aggression against Ukraine and its influence on the security situation in the region. The Parties devoted special attention to the algorithm of further interaction between Ukraine and Poland in order to restore the territorial integrity of Ukraine within the internationally recognized borders.
Another important meeting was held with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland Zbigniew Rau. The Polish side was informed in detail on the current situation in the East of Ukraine and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. The positions of official Kyiv and Warsaw on the assessment of threats to security and stability not only in Central and Eastern Europe, but also in the whole Europe were confirmed to coincide. The Parties focused on the interaction between Ukraine and Poland in the international arena in order to increase pressure on the Russian Federation and return of the aggressor to the legal plane.
During the meeting with the Secretary of State of the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland Krzysztof Szczerski, the Parties exchanged the views on the acute issues of Ukrainian-Polish cooperation from bilateral and international agenda. Oleksii Reznikov expressed his hope for the participation of the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda in the Crimean Platform Summit, and also emphasized the interest of the Ukrainian side to be an active participant in the implementation of regional formats and initiatives. In turn, Krzysztof Szczerski confirmed Poland's unchanged position to support Ukraine in response to Russian aggression.
During his stay in Warsaw Oleksii Reznikov also held negotiations with the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Development, Labour and Technology of the Republic of Poland, Chairman of the Polish part of the Ukrainian-Polish Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation Jaroslaw Gowin, during which it was agreed that the VII session of Ukrainian-Polish Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation will take place on March 31 - April 1, 2021 in Kyiv. "Once again, I thank to our Polish friends for their support. Especially under the conditions of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, under the conditions of Russia's seizure of our territories. Among other things, today we have agreed on the timing of the VII session of Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, the work of which, I am sure, will contribute to the consolidation of interaction between the governments of our countries within the framework of bilateral cooperation. We separately discussed an important issue of economic development of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. It is especially relevant in the context of the Strategy of Economic Development of Donetsk and Luhansk regions developed by the Ministry for Reintegration of TOT," emphasized Oleksii Reznikov.
In addition, Oleksii Reznikov also met with the President of the Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce Jacek Piechota. The Parties discussed the Chamber's engagement in the preparation of the Ukrainian-Polish Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, the experience of small and medium-sized businesses support and the protection of the rights of migrant workers, as well as a number of possible joint projects, inter alia on the economic development of Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.
