  • Oleksiy Honcharuk: 8 Ukrainian startups will receive UAH 9 million from the state in a week

    Ukrainian Startup Fund (USF) selected the first 8 winners of pitching sessions. The meeting of the Supervisory Board of the USF lasted 24 hours.

    “The development of creative industries is important for our country. The Government will support it. The USF does not stop accepting applications, and there are already new startups that will be admitted to the next pitching of ideas. We expect it to take place in early March,” Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk stated.

    The winners are divided into two categories. Seed grants are given to developers of already established products that need expansion and support, and amount to UAH 1 million 250,000 ($ 50,000). Another category is pre-seed grants which will be granted to developers who are still in the process of creating their own product. They will receive UAH 625,000  ($ 25,000).

    Seed-grants will receive:

    AeroDrone - integrated solutions based on drones;

    GeoDesign info - online analytical center;

    BIOC -nanotechnology for bioplastics;

    FieldBI - analytical and expert system for market stakeholders;

    Pravoman –chatbot on legal issues;

    Framiore – sustainable clothing brand with its own R&D center for innovative product and technology development.

    Pre-seed-grants will receive:

    Pytag - trading and analytical platform for grain trading;

    BioBin – mobile app for better environmental impact.

    Background

    Ukrainian Startup Fund is a state fund established upon the initiative of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. The USF aims to support innovative projects and help Ukrainian entrepreneurs create successful global companies.
