We plan to equip 200 emergency departments this year. Improving the emergency medical care system is one of the priorities of the Government Action Program. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk stated during a conference call with heads of Regional State Administrations (RSAs).
"The issues at stake are modernization of the activity of ambulance dispatchers’ service, optimization of routes, staff training, modern standards of hospital care in emergency medical conditions and etc. The health of citizens is overriding priority for the Government. We are working to make quality medical services available to every Ukrainian," Oleksiy Honcharuk emphasized.
According to the Prime Minister, the effectiveness of emergency medical care is highly dependent on the facilities and 217 employess of the emergency departments. First of all, it is necessary to bring all the hospital admissions units in line with standards and to equip these units.
A sum worth UAH 6 billion is laind in the state budget. Of these, about UAH 1 billion is spent on subsidies and co-financing, and about UAH 5 billion on equipment.
Moreover, the Government is launching a 200 modern admissions departments project.
The Prime Minister also added that the successful treatment and the effectiveness of medical services is dependent on equipment and medical if admissions departments- the first place where the person comes in case of an emergency. And our goal is to bring all the hospital admissions units in line with quality standards and medical equipment.
