Effective and smooth operation of scanners, which were launched at all customs checkpoints, will help to eradicate corruption and to increase budget revenues. This was emphasized by Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk.
It should be recalled that all scanning systems have been put into operation at the customs, following a commission of Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Hocharuk given during a working trip to Chernivtsi region.
The scanners, which have finally been launched, automatically send the data to the central office of the State Customs Service in electronic format.
From today at the Dorogusk-Yagodin checkpoint on the border with Poland, a scanner for transport is operating, reducing the time for cargo checks to 10 minutes.
"Automatic scanning without involvement of employees is a significant time reduction for cargo checks, as well as a step towards rooting out corruption," Oleksiy Honcharuk emphasized, adding that efficient and smooth work of customs scanners will trigger increase in the state budget revenues.
Scanners are already operating at checkpoints in Yagodin, Krakowiec, Rava-Ruska, Shehyni, Uzhgorod, Chop, Porubne.
