The Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk said at a press briefing following a Government meeting on February 26, 2020.
“The construction sector is among the domains that are intertwined with corruption at most. This is a case where it is relevant to fire everyone and employ new honest people,” said Oleksiy Honcharuk.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine emphasized that the Government has a clear plan to curtail the shadow schemes, including the cash-out.
“Having eliminated corruption at the top level, we are now transitioning to the next level - state-owned enterprises. Yesterday we agreed with the Chairman of the State Tax Service within a few weeks to replace the heads of regional subdivisions of the State Fiscal Service to combat the shadow schemes,” said the Prime Minister of Ukraine.
Despite serious opposition from the old system, the Prime Minister promised to continue and intensify the fight against corruption until it's completely eliminated, including in the energy sector.
“We have decided to replace management at Centrenergo and three regional power providers, thereby allowing to accelerate the preparation of these enterprises for transparent privatization,” said Oleksiy Honcharuk.
