Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine – Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Kuleba discussed areas of cooperation and strategic partnership with representatives of the U.S. company Axon.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the security challenges Ukraine faces amid constant attacks by the russian federation. In particular, they addressed the protection of Ukraine's energy sector, transport, logistics hubs, and airports. The main focus was on the threat of the mass use of unmanned aerial vehicles, including drone swarms, in combination with electronic warfare and cyberattacks.

During the meeting, Serhii Sukhomlyn, Head of the State Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Axon.

Oleksii Kuleba emphasized the importance of signing the Memorandum as a basis for further strategic partnership between the Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development and Axon.

“We are interested not only in the supply of technologies, but also in long-term partnership, joint development of solutions for critical infrastructure protection, and the formation of a model that can be scaled for other European countries,” Oleksii Kuleba stressed.

The parties discussed their strategic vision for cooperation and opportunities to launch pilot projects for critical infrastructure protection, jointly test technologies, and scale solutions to both European and global markets.

Oleksii Kuleba also emphasized that technologies that had proven their effectiveness in real war conditions were important for Ukraine. Therefore, anti-drone protection, the implementation of modern solutions in the field of electronic warfare, and ensuring the comprehensive security of transport and aviation infrastructure facilities remain among the key priorities.
