Department of Information and Public Communications of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, posted 04 March 2026 09:30

Child benefit payments commenced. Special accounts for receiving these kinds of assistance can now be opened at Oschadbank. This was announced by Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

“The Government is working to expand the possibilities for submitting applications, in particular through Diia. Receiving childcare assistance should be as simple, understandable, and convenient as possible for families,” said the Head of Government.

Funds under the eYasla programme are starting to be transferred for 1,370 recipients. The payment is UAH 8,000 per month when the mother, father, or guardian returns to work after the child turns 1 year old. The funds can be used to pay for a nanny, assistant, or kindergarten.

Benefits for parents with children under 1 year old have been transferred to more than 46,000 families. Since the beginning of this year, the monthly benefit for caring for a child under 1 year old is UAH 7,000.

Other benefits are also available: assistance in connection with pregnancy and childbirth and UAH 50,000 upon the birth of a child.
