Oleksiy Chernyshov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France

Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of National Unity of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Ukraine Gael Veyssiere.

During the meeting, the parties discussed key priorities for cooperation. In particular, preparations for the resumption of the work of the Ukrainian-French Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation. According to Oleksiy Chernyshov, this will be a significant step towards strengthening cooperation between the two countries, attracting investment to Ukraine and creating additional jobs.

Special attention was paid to the implementation of the agreement to open the Unity Hub in Paris. The relevant declaration was signed with the French Ministry of the Interior in late March. The sides continue to actively cooperate to ensure that the Hub opens this year.
"Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, France has provided temporary protection to more than 90,000 Ukrainians who were forced to flee their homes. We are grateful to France and its people for their solidarity and continued support of Ukraine," said Oleksiy Chernyshov.

He also informed Gael Veyssiere about the adoption by the Verkhovna Rada of the presidential bill on the introduction of multiple citizenship in Ukraine. According to the Deputy Prime Minister, this decision is of historic importance for preserving and restoring ties with millions of Ukrainians around the world.

At the end of the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Unity of Ukraine thanked Gael Veyssiere for the constructive dialogue and support of Ukraine..
