During his working visit to Poland, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Unity of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshov met with Polish Minister of the Interior and Administration Tomasz Siemoniak and Deputy Minister of National Defence Cezary Tomczyk.
During the meeting with Tomasz Siemoniak, the mechanisms for extending the status of PESEL UKR and the long-term settlement of the legal status of Ukrainians in Poland were discussed.
“I expressed my readiness to contribute to solving the problematic issues of our citizens by providing effective communication, prompt support and finding constructive solutions for each specific situation,” said Oleksiy Chernyshov.
The Deputy Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to Minister of the Interior and Administration Tomasz Siemoniak for the law on assistance to Ukrainian citizens, which had allowed hundreds of thousands of people to find shelter and opportunities for settlement in a foreign country.
During the meeting with Polish Deputy Minister of National Defence Cezary Tomczyk, the parties agreed to cooperate within the framework of the newly established Ministry of National Unity of Ukraine.
“There are still a number of meetings ahead that will strengthen cooperation between our countries and outline new joint initiatives. We are stepping together to ensure peace, security and stability in the region,” said Oleksiy Chernyshov.
