Oleksiy Chernyshov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Unity of Ukraine, met with Karolina Lindholm Billing, Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Ukraine.
During the meeting, the parties identified further steps of cooperation and discussed initiatives within the Ministry of National Unity.
Oleksiy Chernyshov thanked the UNHCR team for their support to Ukraine at this difficult time.
“The organisation has been present in Ukraine for 30 years and has been helping Ukrainians affected by the war for a third of that time,” the official said.
In addition, Oleksiy Chernyshov stressed the importance of continuing projects that helped people return home and rebuild their lives in Ukraine.
“I am confident that our partnership with UNHCR will allow us to provide support to all categories of citizens both in our country and abroad,” the Deputy Prime Minister concluded.
